Day 1: Arrival, Downtown Vibes & The First Finds

The Downtown Stroll
From the front porch of Oaklea Mansion, it's a short walk into the heart of the Historic Downtown. Take a high-level orientation stroll to Sinclair Market for a mid-afternoon artisan coffee or tea and a light snack in beautifully restored landmark station.

The First Discovery
Head nextdoor to Main Street Antiques & Beauweevils. This is one of Winnsboro’s treasure troves—explore multiple rooms of primitive furniture, architectural salvage, and farmhouse decor.

Dinner with Character
Just steps away, enjoy a meal at Z’s Main Street Treats & Eats. This is where the local "flavor" truly shines. With its friendly atmosphere and legendary comfort food, it's the perfect place to settle in after your first few finds and plan the "Big Hunt" for tomorrow.
** This is a great time to pick out your ice cream for tomorrow before heading to your next stop.
Or perhaps it’s time for a little frozen magic? You’re on vacation, so let your heart (and your taste buds) lead the way to a double-scoop day.

Sunset & Sips
Pop into 5C Beer & Wine Garden. Relax in the outdoor courtyard, meet some locals, and toast to the start of your retreat with a Texas craft brew or a crisp glass of wine.

Head back to Oaklea Mansion, or your stay, to retreat into the quiet luxury of your suite. Spend a relaxing evening reflecting on the day's discoveries, perhaps with a book or a glass of wine on the veranda. This is your time to unplug, recharge, and prepare your "game plan" for the big hunt tomorrow.

Now that you’re settled, today is for the serious collector. Wear your walking shoes and bring your trunk space.

Wake up to the quiet elegance of Oaklea Mansion and enjoy a gourmet breakfast that fuels you for the hunt. Each meal is made with ingredients from the local Winnsboro Farmer's Market and prepared special for you.

Head straight to Finders Keepers after breakfast. With a full day ahead, you have the energy to tackle this eclectic treasure trove. Known for its expertly curated "must-sees" and unique antiques, this is where your "deep dive" truly begins. From instruments, to outdoor finds (fishing and more), plus fine china this is the place for everyone who enjoys a great antique deep dive.

Midday Refuel
Take a sophisticated break at Haven's Cafe. It’s the ultimate local spot to sit, hydrate, and look over the photos of the items you’re considering while enjoying a chef-inspired lunch in a cafe style location.

The Hidden Find
Visit Amaryllis Antiques, located directly next door to your refuel. You may have even spotted some of their great finds on your way into lunch, but this is not a place to visit while hungry—the unique finds here will make your jaw drop. The interior design skills and signature pieces on display make for some of the most unique finds in East Texas.

The Collector's Jackpot
Next meander over to the Edison Exchange a true "insider" destination and a sanctuary for savvy collectors. Dive into their collection of estate jewelry, vintage watches, and coins. Whether you're hunting for a signed Tiffany piece, Art Nouveau treasures, or a Victorian brooch, the Art Deco vibe and "bygone era" elegance here offer a completely different rhythm of discovery.

The Bonus Mile
If you still have time (and trunk space!), hit up the Wood County Antique Mall on your way toward the edge of town. It located a short distance from downtown and is the perfect final stop to ensure no stone—or shelf—has been left unturned.
